The Cranworth team and their caddies  arrived at Felixstowe on a lovely sunny morning for their preliminary round match against Rushmere. The morning was Foursomes matchplay, with a possible 3 points on offer. After some super play in warm sunshine, Cretingham ladies were 2 -1 up, with a further 6 points on offer for the afternoons  singles games.

After a very quick bite to eat, it was like stepping out into a different day, with sea mist looming, temperatures dropping significantly, and wind speed increased, so poised for a very difficult afternoons play. Then the rain started, and players and caddies had to work hard to battle not just very able opponents, but the elements too. It seems that, when the going gets tough our ladies just get tougher, and at the end of the afternoon had achieved a remarkable victory, with 6.5 points to 2.5.

A great result - well done!
