The Suffolk Ladies' County Golf Association Division 4 competition (31-36 handicap) took place on Friday 11th May at Fynn Valley Golf Club. 32 ladies from 11 different clubs competed for the Olive Carruthers Challenge Cup, an individual stableford competition played over 18 holes.
The cup was first presented in 1950 to a Mrs A Williams from Woodbridge, since which time there have been many winners from the long established clubs in the county.
However, 2018 was to be Cretingham's turn. On a sunny but breezy day Sue Fraenzel clinched victory by one point, scoring a total of 34 points.
The Division 4 Shield for the club with the 3 best nett scores went to Fynn Valley.
