On Saturday 31st May a charity day was held in memory of Barry Middleton. Barry was a regular supporter of the Saturday club and had been a member at Cretingham Golf Club for over 25 years. It was clear to see that Barry was a popular member of the golf club with 21 teams in total participating in the charity day. Below is a message from Kathy Middleton passing on her thanks.
Saturday was to celebrate Barry’s love of the game and to raise money for St Elizabeth’s Hospice; and we did both in bucket loads.
I would like to thank you all for making yesterday such a success. Conditions could not have been better the weather was perfect, the golf course considering the recent weather played very well and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.
Special thanks to our helpers throughout the day, Annabel, Hannah, Pat, Steve, Viv and Ivor who helped both on the course and at the club house. To Neil and all Cretingham staff who were so helpful and worked tirelessly all day. Thanks also to Paul Seymour who represented St Elizabeth’s Hospice.
It was great to catch up with people we had not seen for a long time and lovely so many people came just for the occasion.
So to the money we raised for St Elizabeth’s Hospice – Total £2259.60 which is an absolutely fabulous amount.
I will be passing this money to St Elizabeth’s Hospice on Tuesday.
Best wishes and thank you.
